Akron police are investigating after a 50 year old man was struck in a hit-and-run that occurred Sunday just before 4pm. Officers were dispatched to Circle K in the 400 block of W. Market Street for a hit-and-run incident. On scene, police discovered the man had been hit by a vehicle and then run over. He was taken to an Akron hospital in critical condition. Police said later they discovered 41 year old Thomas Felber, had first allegedly assaulted the victim before striking him with his vehicle and dragging him through the parking lot. Felber fled the scene but was arrested a short time later. He was charged with felonious assault and booked into the Summit County Jail.
