UPDATE: 3rd grader brings loaded gun to school

An update from Jackson Township Police Department in the investigation on how a 3rd grader brought a loaded gun to school. Police say the boy took the weapon from his grandparent’s home before heading to school on May 16th. The boy lived with his father, who officials say is fully cooperating with the investigation. The boy is now facing felony charges of inducing panic and illegally bringing a weapon onto school grounds. The case is now at the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office where additional charges could be considered.
