Juvenile arson suspect turns himself in

The Uniontown Police department says a juvenile suspect voluntarily turned himself in following its investigation into recent arsons. In a press release, the police say the unnamed suspect was accompanied by a parent when he turned himself in to authorities without incident. The case will be referred to the juvenile division of the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office for charges. Between 1am and 4am Sunday, a large dumpster was set on fire at the warehouse building on Apache Street, a bathroom was set on fire at Uniontown Community Park, and 2 bathroom facilities were set on fire at the Diamond baseball fields in Green. On June 9th, a passenger van was set on fire at the warehouse on Apache Street.
