It’s this simple, if the Cavaliers stand pat with the same group as last year the same thing is going to happen again that has happened to them in the last few seasons. They will get no where in the playoffs. Time to make some sort of change. What you have now works for the regular season but not for the playoffs. You have a big opportunity next year with the Celtics probably being without star Jayson Tatum for an entire season due to injury. You have tried this “Core 4” strategy and it hasn’t worked. You can’t keep going back to it. You keep Donovan Mitchell and you keep Evan Mobley and do whatever you have to with everything else. Some can stay but others needs to go, whether you just outright let them go or you make some trades. Stand pat and you will have another disappointing postseason like the last few years.
