It’s been a challenge at times to navigate the Tallmadge Circle….and now one U.S. Representative has proposed a pedestrian tunnel at the circle. U.S. Rep Emilia Sykes, D-Akron has a proposal on the table which would make the circle a bit safer for pedestrians. The city is seeking a 2 million dollar grant to build a tunnel that would run from the parking lot of Tallmadge’s City Hall, between West and Northwest Avenues, to the center of the historic circle.
